Feb 3: NOW I have an excuse!
My computer crashed--the hard drive. Stupidly, I hadn't backed up onto my external hard drive for at least a few months, so everything from then on will most likely be lost. It's at repair shop and they are now waiting for some disc from Sony that stands the best chance of restoring anything. Happened Sunday, 1/30 and will be out for at least through 2/7. Typing this hurriedly at work, then no access until Monday. AAHHHHH!!!

Hi Laurie,
Menbat to say this when I first read your posting. One product I have found very useful, even though it is a subscription program is Carbonite (Carbonite.com) They actually store a back up of your computer files in a secure off site server that you can access to recover all of those lost files.
Just a thought for the future.
