MONDAY 9/25 2:17pm
I just spoke with Laurie and she has been moved to a semi-private room so hopefully she will be able to get some well deserved rest - EXCEPT for the fact that they wake her up at 4:30AM to give her medicine - she's not a happy camper about that! She still has the chest tube and still draining alot. She also still has 5 IVs plus the chest tube, so she is very dependent on the nurses to help her get around whenever she needs anything, and as you can imagine our girl who is so "Miss Independent" does NOT like that at all! Not sure how long she will remain in the hosiptal all depends the drainage!
She was feeling a bit down today and tired of the whole process and wanting to come home! Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks, Brenda
I talked to Laurie tonight too and ditto on the early wakeups...she's not happy about that. But, when I was on the phone with her we got cut off because they were going to remove her chest tube. She was VERY happy about this. She said it was pretty uncomfortable to have it in. So...that's the latest.
Cheers,
Katie

TUESDAY 9/26
Laurie was released from the hospital today and is now at the Holiday Inn—Brookline ..... She will be there at least until Wednesday 10/4 when she has her followup Dr's visit (rescheduled from 10/2 since it is YomKippur) - hopefully after the exam she can make her way to the airport and then HOME!!! Please Refrain (& I know it is hard to do so, esp since she has been so uncomfortable this time) from sending anything to the hotel and make up for it when she returns home!
Thanks

Just checking in to let you know that everything is fine at the house. The kitties are happy and I will just keep stopping by and taking care of them until you tell me to stop!
It's great that there's a light at the end of the tunnel, but unfortunately, you're still IN the tunnel, so just know that lots of people at Buxmont are thinking of you and rooting for you!
