2ND DAY POST SURGERY UPDATE- JULY 14TH @ 4:40PM

Greetings to all on this beautiful Saturday.

Better news on the blog front today. Laurie got out of bed yesterday and sat up in a chair for a few hours, two or three times. Her Physician had decided that she didnt need any more pain management meds but that didnt last long...understandably so. She was and is being given pain meds. I couldnt talk to Laurie yesterday due to her not being able to use a cell phone with the temporary pacemaker in place.

I've spoken with Brenda twice today. Laurie went for a walk (great progress) and the pacemaker was turned off. She's doing well and making some serious efforts to move around as much as she can. Brenda flies home tomorrow.

Thats all for now, keep reading and keep posting and I'll keep all updated as soon as i get more news.

Thanks as always,
Joanne

    Hi Laurie,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, just got home late last night early this morning from Dugway Proving Grounds. While I was in the desert I was able to get the updates but by the time I got done with everything was just to tired myself to write. Very glad things are going well at this point. I know you really wanted some other things to happen this time, but you are flexible enough to deal with this and the future. Hnag in there kiddo, you've beat this so far, you can make it the rest of the way.

By the way I will apologize right now for not wearing anything rose, but being out there in the desert with the macho types that was there would not have been easy. But the thought was there.

LWB---Good girl for taking your pain meds and moving around. How could they expect you to do it without a little help!!!??? I am glad to see the word temporary in front of pacemaker, that had me a little panicked. I hate not being able to call you for you to explain the cardiology to me!! Hahahaha...
Hope you are keeping them all straight up there. I'll keep checking on you. Thanks again Joanne for keeping us up to date. Love, Wendy

Laurie First, the cat scan. Alice reports they are doing well. She let them out on the porch, but when she had to go, Chester said no so she had to push the swifter near him til he got the idea. Chi Chi took her over after work today since the main street where the bus goes was closed for the Blob Fest. So all is well. They loved the fresh catnip she took them.

Glad to see the progress. Best to you from Bidge, Chi Chi, Alice, Rachel, Joe, and Joshua.

    Love Bidge

    Joanne & Brenda,

Thanks again for keeping us up to date and a part of this.

    Laurie,
. Glad to hear you came thru the surgery fairly well. Sorry to hear you needed a temp pacemaker, however glad that it is temporary!

. As much as it has to suck, glad you are up and moving, and smack that Doctor.. who goes thru even one of these surgery and then told no pain management.. what the hell with all you've been thru you should be able to smoke that weed by now just to get you thru!

.keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for soon being able to see some relief and improvement. and to soon be able to be home with your family, friends and cats.

. Heres to an improved future.
