Laurie's Heart Update

Hi guysI spoke with Laurie for the first time this morning and it was great to hear her voice! She sounded tired and weak and they are keeping her well medicated to ease the pain, but she told me that they were taking very good care of her, she was very impressed. Cousin Beth called and left me a message saying that Laurie had sat up in a chair for awhile this evening until she became uncomfortable and they had to put her back to bed. They hope to move her to a private room tomorrow, depending on how tonight goes. I will let you know more tomorrow. Please bear with me as I do not have immediate access to the computer over the weekend. However, I do update her phone message, 215-542-7069, so if you check here for an update and it is not updated, call her phone and listen to the message. I will tell you that I am very pleased with her progress so far.

    Thanks for keeping us all so connected. I've had to fight the urge a few times to call up there, but I know she needs her rest and your updates keep my dialing fingers at bay. You're the best.

    Hi Laurie! Glad you are doing well! I am so proud of you. Don't forget the pixie dust! So, from checking on both websites, it seems as though you and my uncle charlie will both be out of bed at the same time. You may pass him in the hallway....I told him to be on the lookout for you! He is not a very big dude, maybe like 5'9", with a happy face and big ears. Dr. Zellos was his surgeon, and his last name is Webb. Would just be funny if two of my favorite people got to meet in the halls of a hospital far, far from home! He's married, so don't think this is a set up or anything!! Hahahahaha...Love you, lady, and I will keep checking on you! Wendy Whetzel

    Thanks for keeping us all updated on Laurie's progress--our thoughts and prayers continue to be with her. I think it is so great that we can all be kept informed so quickly!
