Brief update, then belated 9/11 post

Life has, as it so often does, gotten complicated. The most disabled of the two kitties got very sick, needed to be hospitalized and is still getting 4 pills a day plus ear drops. She is not loving me at the moment with shoving multiple pills down her throat. Flood at Fellowship following drainage problems, helping there.

Mom has fallen twice in the last few months and broken something both times. In April it was her right arm, leading to being in SNF (skilled nursing facility) for a month. Then, on Labor Day, she fell again. Huge hematoma on her head, the blood now following gravity has taken over her face and looks quite dramatic, and she broke her right kneecap, so she's back in SNF.  While the CT revealed nothing she clearly has a concussion, which isn't good normally but is much worse when you already have dementia. I think I'm going to start writing here again as my way of processing, and maybe it will help someone at some point.

I've had both Moderna shots PLUS a booster. Yes, had side effects but still beats being on a ventilator, and that from someone who actually has been on one. Autoimmune disease is controlled, but can't stop steroids. Heart is (fingers crossed) still stable.

Yes, Deneen, I need to write the damn book!
