Hi all!! Today is the 6 week anninversary of the thoracotomy/lung hernia surgery and the 12 week anniversary of the heart surgery. That is something of a milestone. Sorry that I didn't write after Monday, but I was absolutely exhausted. Went in at 11:30, finished at about 5:00 pm, and I was so tired I was worried about driving home. Just collapsed for the rest of the night. Recovered Tuesday, went in Weds from 12 noon to 4:30. It was easier, patient cancelled, which makes a big difference for some reason to go from 10 stress tests in a day to 9 of them. Didn't feel as bad that night. Today I went back on the treadmill for the first time in a few days, and was pleased that I did 8/10 of a mile in 28 mins. My goal is to go for a full mile in 30 mins, then try increasing the speed but keep the time consistent. Had to do a few errands this afternoon, back in Friday at 12-5 pm. Will discuss with my bosses tomorrow the schedule for next week. The pain is still present, but I am really seeing a decrease in the intensity, and it is definitely less frequent than last week. This is making me increasingly more pleasant--I hope. I'm not planning a very exciting weekend (which is usual, I just have an excuse now!) so that I can rest up. Just started the Mists of Avalon book, which is 876 pages, so that should keep me occupied. Book review pending. I'll check in with the schedule over the weekend. Take care, Laurie
